SARAH WARDLE JONES
I don't just care about flute. I care about you.
Knowing what steps to take to grow as a flutist can be confusing and overwhelming. I guide flutists of all levels every step of the way through individualized, supportive flute lessons so they can be confident, successful musicians. When you study with me, we'll work together to develop a learning plan uniquely tailored to your goals, whether it's to play flute with more physical comfort, earn first chair in the school ensemble, or prepare for college auditions. Together we will address the physical, mental, and emotional blocks to improvement which will set you on a path of confidence and success. I love sharing my passion with others and am so grateful that I get to do this incredible job. I offer both in-person lessons from my Roanoke, VA home or online lessons via FaceTime or Skype.
In addition to teaching, I'm also an active chamber musician and co-founder of Alma Ensemble, a chamber music collective that fosters human connection through great music written by women.
I've earned my Bachelor of Music from Taylor University and my Master of Music in performance from Bowling Green State University where I studied with Nina Assimakopoulos. I've enjoyed performing internationally in venues in Europe and China. In my free time, I enjoy reading, painting and streaming movies with my husband and our dog and cat.
